Plant Power: Improved Dietary Fat Quality Reduces Heart and Diabetes Risk

A new study in Nature Medicine reveals that switching to healthier dietary fats significantly lowers cardiovascular and diabetes risks. Researchers developed a multilipid score (MLS) to measure the impact of dietary fat quality. The study found that replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats leads to better lipid profiles and reduced disease risks. “This study shows that improving fat quality in our diets can have profound health benefits,” said lead author Vijay Kumar Malesu. As most sensible people already know, it seems embracing plant-based fats can enhance heart health and reduce diabetes risk.

Meatly Makes History as Europe’s First Seller of Cultivated Meat

Meatly, a pioneering UK-based company, has made history by becoming the first European firm authorised to sell lab-grown meat. With approval from the Food Standards Agency, Meatly will soon introduce cultivated chicken to the market, aiming to meet the rising demand for sustainable and cruelty-free meat alternatives. CEO Owen Ensor called it a “significant milestone,” highlighting the potential for ethical meat production. “We’re proving that there is a safe and low-capital way to rapidly bring cultivated meat to market,” Ensor emphasized. As if we needed any more proof that word is getting out there about the moral vacuum which is animal agriculture. We’re simply witnessing an evolution of the human race!
