Plenish Drinks Launches First TV Campaign
Plenish, Britvic’s plant-based drinks brand, has hit the screens with its first-ever TV campaign. This six-month sponsorship with Channel 4’s breakfast programming is set to captivate over nine million viewers. The campaign focuses on emphasizing Plenish’s range of plant-based milks and health shots. Running until January 31, 2025, this strategic move supports key sales periods like Organic September and Veganuary, highlighting how plant-based living is not just trendy but impactful. “Our goal is to inspire healthier, sustainable choices,” said a spokesperson. This aligns perfectly with the growing vegan and animal rights movements, showcasing how delicious and convenient plant-based options can drive positive change.

This approach aligns with the vegan movement, promoting natural alternatives that minimize the need for synthetic additives.
Vegan Diet May Turn Back the Clock on Ageing
Switching to a vegan diet seems to reverse biological ageing in just eight weeks, according to a new study in BMC Medicine. Researchers studied 21 pairs of identical twins where one twin went vegan while the other ate an omnivorous diet. The vegan twins showed reduced biological age through DNA methylation. Dr. Lucia Aronica of Stanford University stated, “The vegan diet appeared to turn back the clock on certain ageing processes.” However, weight loss and calorie reduction might also play roles. This study hints at how plant-based eating can significantly impact how old we look as we try to gracefully rock on into our later years.
Ultrafabrics Unveils AV Bio Pro Fabric at Aircraft Expo
Ultrafabrics has introduced AV Bio, a bio-based performance fabric, at the Aircraft Interiors Expo. This fabric uses renewable plant-based components for sustainability, balancing comfort and durability. Ironically, while airlines aim to reduce CO₂ emissions with eco-friendly materials like AV Bio, they continue burning massive amounts of jet fuel. “A monumental advancement in sustainable technology,” said Barry Silverman, perfectly highlighting this paradox. Nevertheless, adopting plant-based materials is another step towards environmental sustainability and has to be greeted with some enthusiasm, despite the industry’s overall impact.
Meera Sodha Shares The Influential Books That Helped Shape Her Style
Meera Sodha, renowned for her Asian-inspired, meat-free recipes, shares her literary influences in Good Housekeeping. “Books have always given me joy,” she reflects, highlighting how Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree fueled her imagination. John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row resonated with her industrial hometown upbringing, fostering empathy. Laurie Colwin’s Home Cooking inspired her approach to writing about food with its celebration of the ordinary. Stephen King’s On Writing demystified the craft, while Emma Gannon’s The Success Myth offered solace during tough times. Roald Dahl’s The Twits brings laughter to her and her child. Linking back to plant-based living, Sodha’s latest book, Dinner: 120 vegan and vegetarian recipes, sees her continue to inspire healthier, sustainable choices for a better you.

But anyway, today’s question is: What is milk made of? From the cow to your glass, is this product really as natural as the industry would have you …
